Workshop on the Conduct of Examinations
As part of the efforts of management to ensure total quality management in all sectors of the University especially in the area of examinations, KNUST has organised a Workshop on the Conduct of Examination for Senior Members of the University.
Participants of the workshop included Senior Members, Lecturers and Examination Officers at the Departments, Faculty and the College levels.
Professor William Otoo Ellis, the Vice-Chancellor, in his opening address said examination is one of the most important things in academia, as such, most things KNUST does as an academic institutions should reflect in examinations. The degrees that are awarded are based on examinations, therefore if examinations run into trouble then the University is also in trouble. Professor Ellis therefore challenged examination officers to attach more importance to examinations in the University.

On the 1st of October, 2010, Professor William Otoo Ellis was appointed as Vice Chancellor for a four year term to steer the affairs of this great institution by the Council of this University. He was inducted into office on the 2nd of October, 2010 and swore the oath of service and was formally outdoored to the University Community and to the rest of the general public.
